One of our goals
is to partner with educational institutions, museums, and other
organizations—including those in the Quad Cities region of Illinois and Iowa—to
supply programming that will meet our mutual goals in serving and educating the
public. Beginning in 2007 we established a partnership with the Rock
Island Regional Office of Education, which coordinates a variety of programs
serving students and teachers in northwestern Illinois. In 2008 we
established a partnership with the Moline Preservation Society in connection
with the writing of the book, Moline History Echoes From Riverside
Cemetery.
The
Rock Island County Historical Society has hosted Heritage Documentaries
programs, including a launch for the Riverside Cemetery book in 2009 and a
premiere of the Rock Island prison documentary in 2012. The Figge Art Museum in Davenport has
hosted some of our programs, including the premiere of the corn husking
documentary in September 2009. And
we now have an agreement with the Putman Museum in Davenport to host a premiere
of the prison documentary in 2012.
